St. Mary’s Central High School is committed to providing a foundation of faith through a Catholic education. As North Dakota’s first Catholic high school, we are deeply devoted to our mission.

The mission of St. Mary’s Central High School is to provide an opportunity for its community to grow spiritually, academically and socially in a Christ-centered environment based on Catholic tradition.

St. Mary’s Central High School seeks to form the whole person by assisting our students to encounter Christ, to pursue truth, and to have their hearts awakened in joyful and life-giving service to others.

At St. Mary’s Central High School, we are faithfully committed to provide our students the opportunity to encounter Christ. We believe that the fundamental identity of every student is that they are a child of God, who has been redeemed through the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ. As a Catholic high school, our responsibility of assisting our students to grow in this identity takes place primarily through a lived experience of Jesus through a life of prayer and the sacramental life of the Catholic Church. Through a faithful and nourishing spiritual formation, we are committed to providing our students of all faiths the ability to authentically receive the fullness of life, which is found in a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ.

At St. Mary’s Central High School, we are passionately committed to allow the minds of our students to pursue the fullness of truth in all academic disciplines. We desire our students to receive a holistic education that enables them to seek that which is good, true, and beautiful. As a Catholic high school, we are grateful for and committed to the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church, which have been given to us by Christ and entrusted to the apostles and their successors. Through a rich and integrated academic foundation, we allow the minds of our students to discover the truths about the world, themselves, and God—who is the foundation of all truth. In all academic endeavors, we seek to allow our students the ability to think clearly, to reason well, and to love unconditionally.

At St. Mary’s Central High School, we are joyfully committed to awaken the hearts of our students to developing authentic relationships. We strive for our school to be a place in which they can fully grow into the men and women that God created them to be so that they may live happy, healthy, and holy lives. As a Catholic high school, in all student activities, whether inside or outside of the classroom, our students learn the importance of fostering healthy and life-giving relationships that equip them for the entirety of their lives. Through an enriching human formation and the mutual support of parents, educators, and classmates, our students experience the goodness and love that Christ has for their own lives, so that they can give of themselves in generous service to others.
