ACT Student Champion Award
Award recognizes one student in each state who has overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions. ACT Student Champions receive a $500 non-renewable scholarship, certificate, plaque, and state-level recognition. Students must have a composite ACT score of a 22 on a single test date or a 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first-generation college students. AES Engineering Scholarship

Anthony Monroe Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Anthony Monroe, a 2002 graduate of BHS who was killed while serving in Iraq. Applebee’s Apple Award Scholarship
Community members, educators and parents are invited to nominate outstanding students for the Apple Award. Nominations are open for the first three weeks of each month at http://applecorecommunity.com/. The top nominees will be posted to the website for that final week and the public is invited to vote for the Apple Award Student of the Month for their city. Monthly winners will then compete for one of three $1,000 scholarships at the end of the school year.

Bismarck State College Foundation Scholarships
Awards from $500 to $2,000 per year for qualifying students in academic, energy, performing arts, visual arts, journalism and certain technical programs at BSC. Bismarck Tribune Teen of the Week
The Bismarck Tribune, along with MDU Resources, will honor one high school senior each week. At the end of the school year, a $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to one student. Burger King Scholars Program
Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000, and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship Program

Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas Scholarship

Ducks Unlimited National Scholarship Program

North Dakota Scholars Program
Recognizes outstanding students for scholastic achievement as measured by ACT score and academic record. Only ACT scores earned prior to senior year are considered. Top scholars who enroll in a ND college or university will be awarded an in-state tuition scholarship. Funding is available for approximately 30-40 new students each year. There is no application.
North Dakota School Counselor Association Scholarship

NDSU Freshmen Opportunity Scholarship
The donor of the award is anonymous but has made it clear that academics do not factor in the award, which covers ½ in-state tuition ($3,951) at NDSU. The award is intended for a 1st Generation College Student and in the words of the donor “Students do not need to have the best academic credentials. Rather the recipient should have demonstrated financial need and some “grit” to them, and have overcome personal hardship in their personal lives.” Deadline: February 1

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards for Youth Volunteers
St. Mary’s Central High School may nominate one student who has been engaged in volunteer activities in the last year. State winners receive $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C. in May. Rotary Four-Way Test Essay Contest
Essays of 500 to 1,000 words may treat any subject of interest to the student, specific or general, but must include the principles of the Four-Way Test (explained on student guidelines). Samsung American Legion Scholarship
Twenty youth nationwide receive this scholarship each year. Students who are finishing their junior year of high school and attend the American Legion’s North Dakota Boys State or the American Legion Auxiliary’s North Dakota Girls State in June 2020 are eligible for the Samsung Scholarship. Centennial Elementary PTO is offering a scholarship award for two graduating seniors, in the amount of $300 each. The Shelley D. Stumpf Memorial Scholarship is to be awarded to students who have attended Centennial Elementary at least one year. Applications are due February 28, 2020. A $1,000 for female high school seniors committed to maintaining personal wellness. STEM Scholarship for Aspiring Commercial Drone Pilots
Scholarship designed to support high school students ages 16 and up who are serious about learning how to fly drones commercially. Recipients receive free access to an in-depth test prep course for the FAA’s “Part 107” certification exam to be a commercial drone pilot (usual cost is $299). The first 100 recipients will have their FAA exam fee of $150 covered, for a total value of approximately $450. UND's online scholarship database is home to more than 800 scholarship opportunities. Applying for UND scholarships is a simple, one application process. Two ND students will be selected to participate in the U.S. Senate Youth Program in Washington D.C. Here, they will be instructed on the role of the U.S. Senate in the federal government.
